The Allied Health – Patient Care Technician (PCT) program is designed for students interested in healthcare careers. PCT students learn real-world skills like taking vital signs, assisting with patient care, performing EKGs, and more. Through hands-on training, clinical experience, and certification opportunities, students are prepared to enter the medical field right after graduation or continue studying nursing, allied health, or other medical professions.

Athletic Student Training is a hands-on program for students interested in sports medicine, health, and fitness. Student trainers work alongside coaches and athletic trainers to help care for athletes, assist with injury prevention, manage equipment, and learn basic first aid and taping techniques. It’s a great opportunity for anyone interested in athletic training, physical therapy, or sports-related careers.

The DHS Cheerleading Team brings spirit, energy, and pride to Donaldsonville High School! As leaders on and off the sidelines, the team supports athletic events, performs at pep rallies, and represents DHS at community events and competitions. Cheerleaders develop teamwork, confidence, athleticism, and school spirit while creating lasting memories and friendships. Go Tigers!

Members develop musical talent, discipline, and teamwork while representing Donaldsonville High School with passion and excellence. Whether on the field or in the stands, the Sonic BoomBox Band keeps the spirit alive and the crowd on their feet!

JAG (Jobs for America’s Graduates) is a career readiness program that helps students build the skills they need for life after high school—whether that’s college, a career, or the military. Through hands-on projects, leadership opportunities, guest speakers, and community service, JAG members learn about job skills, goal setting, communication, and more. It’s all about preparing for success while giving back and growing as a leader!

Ms. Marchell Rapp

The Process Technician Program prepares students for careers in chemical plants, oil refineries, and manufacturing facilities. Process technicians learn how to operate, monitor, and troubleshoot equipment that keeps production running safely and efficiently. Students gain hands-on experience with industry tools, safety procedures, and teamwork skills, opening the door to high-paying jobs in the industrial and manufacturing fields after graduation.

The Welding Program teaches students how to safely join and cut metal using industry-standard tools and techniques. Students gain hands-on experience with processes like MIG, TIG, and arc welding while learning blueprint reading and fabrication skills. This training prepares graduates for high-demand careers in construction, manufacturing, shipbuilding, and other skilled trades.

The Cosmetology Program trains students in hair styling, cutting, coloring, skincare, and nail care while teaching the latest beauty trends and techniques. Students gain hands-on experience in a salon setting, learn about customer service and business skills, and work toward earning their cosmetology license. This program prepares graduates for careers in salons, spas, and the beauty industry.
